Hi there. It has been like 10 years since I have had a Crocea Clam. I got this one coming back from Niagara 2 weeks ago. Only now my tank has lots of Asterina baby star fish. They are part of my clean up crew. The fish I think like to eat them...If not them something is cus I often see only parts of them?? Question is will they harm my new Crocea Clam if anybody knows? Thanks

I have only heard of *some* types of asterinas eating zoas. Never heard of them bothering other coral or inverts.

The only thing that reliably eats asterinas is harlequin shrimp... The reason you see ones with missing legs is that's one way they reproduce - they drop legs that grow into new starfish :)

You should be fine - I used to keep all sort of clams (deresa/squamosa/crocea/ and maxima).

What type of lighting do you have on the tank? Crocea requires very strong lighting.
