Any links? I looked online but only found some blurbs from 2001 time frame when sponsorship funding fell short..


will REALLY SUCK detritus... I had always hoped we would host another macna..

Just what I've said above.
It's really not surprising. Having MASNA control it each year will make things go much smoother not only for them but for the vendors as well.
Imagine handing ReefCurrents off to someone else each year.
I would assume they'd welcome help from the local clubs though.

BTW, it's in Vegas next year.

Future of MACNA

Well I'm sure not many remember it but I do...since I was one of the drivers...

The whole reason we started ReefCurrents was to have our own annual event and to prepare to host a MACNA here in H-Town again..

So I kind of checked into it just now as I was majorly upset..

Found a press release on the subject... It seems they hired an event coordinator which makes sense and I totally agree with... We would have done the same...

I'm going to bring it up at our next board meeting and see if we can request some additional detail and clarification.

I remember when we hosted MACNA. It was a lot of work, but well worth it.
