That is what I am looking at now. I might do a satellite fuge. Maybe a 20g long.

The rolling ball of cheato is a better idea unless you can incorporate a small turf scrubber into the 20 long. A rolling ball of cheato is the most consistent and reliable form of biological export in my experience, but it requires more of a cube structure to function correctly.

Giving this thing a float valve. Pro tip. Drill the middle baffle of the bubble trap, then you can freely go from one way to the other, and if you crack the baffle, it is not load baring.
