Hello MARSH-ian World!
Greetings to the MARSH-ian community from this account/role as well. You might have seen me around with other account "stratosg" that I have. Here is a little summary of me and printed3d.parts
I have been keeping a reef aquarium for about two years now. I have had fresh water tanks for over 5 (don't we all start like that?). I love the reefing hobby because it allows me to keep beautiful animals, learn about the biology and science of the ocean and engineer a successful artificial environment for these animals to thrive in. I would say that half my satisfaction is engineering and tinkering haha
I also have a love for technology (and a profession in the field) and have had a love for 3D printing for about 5 years as well. I have built and maintained my 3D printer and use it regularly to print all sorts of little things that make life easier. Specifically, for my reef I have built a lot of holders/cradles, tools etc that help in keeping and maintaining my tank. Recently, I thought and felt that more people would probably be interested in the things I make and also in other things that they might need and can't get off the shelf. Hence, I started collecting as many designs as I could and put them together on my website, both as a means of a collection and also to allow people to buy them so I can print them and send them out. I have also helped a lot of people that contacted me with designing custom pieces -both universal like a reeflink cradle- or specific to their needs -like a custom feeder holder for a reefer 250- and then printing and sending them out.
A few weeks later and here I am. I figured I would reach out to the local community and let you guys know what I have to offer. I am still exploring the level of interest in what I do so the best place to start is with this awesome neighborhood of local reefers. As I said, I am still expanding my design collection so don't hesitate to contact me should you need something designed or printed. Any requests for mounting options for equipment widely used that I don't have designs for -since I don't own any- like vortech, tunze etc. are also very welcome and encouraged.
See you around!
