Well I promised myself I’d keep this little tank as simple as possible. No apex.

So so first I added a ADJ power strip.

Then installed a 24” T5 fixture I already had. The water is still suffering from the Dr Tim’s bacteria I added to cycle the tank. It created a huge bacterial bloom. This is good and means it’s working properly.

    Simple is beautiful, my friend.
I'm going to play with a wifi-enabled power strip, reeflink & Alexa with my new build. You can do "routines" with alexa to do complex things, I'm just not sure how reliable it'll be.
Alexa in my living room does dumb **************** all the time.

I'm building a Waterbox 75.2 right now. I'm doing the same thing as you, simplification. Powerhead, light, skimmer, return, heater/controller, ATO ... that's it. When I type that all out, it still seems like a lot of stuff to do maintenance on.

The reeflink doesn't go under the stand, so it's a toy I can play with at my leisure.

Yeah, sometimes it’s better to keep it as simple as possible especially on a smaller reef. If I go larger, it will be more controlled because it’s just easier.

I’m gonna test this ATO and be first to review it I guess. :-)

Picked up a reservoir too. No more hauling buckets. :-)
