Care for my new Juvenile Emperor Angelfish

I have had Adult Emperor Angelfish before but never a Junior. Up here they are less expensive than they were 15 years ago. And I could of got smaller and 20can. cheaper. If any one of you has had experience with caring for one I would like to hear from you. What are their favorite foods and temp range. I am now trying to feeding him Tetra Colour tropical granules with Korean Seaweed cut and mixed in with it. Can I buy something he would love at the grocery store? Thanks

We carry a food that is like paste. Angels in particular like it alot. You cab get them started with it and move them onto different diets as needed.

Ya well I have had two Emperors long time ago. I almost did not get him cos both of those got Lateral line disease in no time. Guy at pet store told me he needs a lot of light and very good nutrition = no lateral line disease. Day 2 and so far so good. Getting along well with everybody eating well swimming around peacefully. My other fish feel like they have to hide all the time and he is making them feel safer to swim around. Thanks for the info all... Next time I am in Houston if reef can help me out I will try and check out your shop.

Is your emperor in your reef tank? Has it ever nipped a your coral? Thinking about getting one but I read that their not reef safe.

Every single angel I’ve put in my tank had nipped. I don’t see how you guys do it.

He is just so relaxed and peaceful . He swims around and nibbles at this and that. He is not an aggressive fish so far. I only have hardy corals and so far all good. I think he is happy with his new home and hope he lasts a long time.... does not get lateral line disease. I read that when they become adults they get more aggressive. When I had my 2 adults they were not aggressive fish and had a low salinity fish tank with just a few basic corals. I like to mix it up a bit.

Mine juvi before the flood demolished acans, space invader, etc.

It appeared to like LPS with eyes since it left Duncans alone.

My current rebuild has 2 angels and apparently the blue face does like Duncans Care for my new Juvenile Emperor Angelfish
