    Screens good or bad

R.I.P. found my bandit angel laying on the screen today. My best and favorite fish for
the last 5 years. Definitely a great fish never a problem going to miss him. Probably the
one irreplaceable fish I had. Its is impossible to cover ever sq inch of the tank and this is
the second I have found on the screens since putting them in a few months back. Hope
they are saving some from jumping out but know they have cost me 2 nice fish who would
probably fell back into the water.

How big are the screens on your tank?

I've run screens for years and never had one get stuck on top of it, but my screens have always been "bird netting" from HD which aren't that big... so it'd have to be a pretty small fish to make it through.

Dang, sorry to hear that. I would have never thought about an angel jumping in the first place. I don't run screens and have lost a few jumper fish because of it. I've contemplated adding screens for years but can't find any that look decent on my tank. For now, I just try to avoid potential jumpers, but I guess anybody could be a jumper given the right circumstances.

went to clean tank he was on top of the screen probably all night. Had him for 5 years he was
such a good fish. Sad He had been in my big reef for yrs and moved him because someone nipping
him really bad. Only been in this tank for about 3 months. Thinking about saving up for another one.

Man David, that sucks... Really sorry to hear.. Its amazing how they can find that ONE 1/4" crack in the screen cover to go leaping through.
