    Galveston/peppermint shrimp

Hi. I will be meeting some friends at Galveston state park Saturday and understand that you can sometimes find peppermint shrimp there. Any tips on where to look? And just to be sure, are these the same peps that lfs sell that will eat aiptasia? TIA!

There’s a lot at the jetty’s. Go at night, they’ll be in the rocks. Look at my recent YouTube collecting video. The link is in my signature.

I don’t think these are the exact same as you’ll find in the LFS, but they’re very close.

I went collecting last night and came home with a few blennies two sergeant majors and one pipefish but no peppermint shrimpGalveston/peppermint shrimpGalveston/peppermint shrimpthe waves were too crazy and the tide was way higher than normal so I couldn't get down to the rocks but I found this really cool spot in between the rocks that looked like a Tidepool and that's where all the sergeants were hiding but only caught two cause they were really fast

How well do peppermint shrimp get along with each other? Could I put a few in a 25 gallon tank without them fighting?

Iíve had them together all the time without any problems so I think you should be fine

I currently have about 10 in my tank. They do fine together. They have recently come out from hiding because they’re getting hungry.
