My tank is floating- need some suggestions!

I was about to pump water in the tank tonight for a test run, and I noticed the tank was floating on the left corners. Itís at least 1/8Ē and floating even up towards the middle. Iíve built a lot of stands, but this is a first. I guess I cut something wrong or maybe itís the wood. Not sure what happened.? Maybe shimming the tank would help or maybe a piece of foam. Foam was my initial thought. Or I could cut a new 1/4Ē piece of plywood and add it to the top- maybe that would help to level it out.? Any thoughts on how to safely correct this issue would be appreciated. Ready to get water in this thing without cracking the glass! Iíll try to get some pics tomorrow night.

Yeah, I was thinking the same. It would help evenly distribute the weight. I’ve heard arguments on the other side too, but I’ve never seen any ill effects from foam.

It’s small, about 25-30 gallons. I need to check.

Foam definitely would be my choice with that much deviation. Normally Iíd use a neoprene mat but in this case Iíd use high density foam, the blue or pink stuff. It will absorb the deviation and and other surface imperfections.

Ok, I think so too. I’ll swing by Lowe’s on the way home. Post some pics tonight or in the A.M. Off the next 3 days so it will be getting tested. Rock and RODI coming Friday evening. Already have sand and about everything else.
