The Neptune Trident is supposed to be in the neighborhood of $600....But you need the new "brain" to run it. It wont work with the classic Apex. Also, it is unclear if you will need an EB832 as well.

With the GHL KH Director you need 3 free pumps on their Doser (Which I am already using 3 of my 4), if not, you have to buy a slave unit for extra pump space which will cost over $800 for both.

For that kind of money people would have to be raving about them before I would even consider one.

Its a wonderful machine. I can only see anyone complaining about the android app issues but that is still beta so can't be too hard on them.

There is going to be a software update that will address some small changes that people have been requesting. I'm looking forward to that update.

Its doing everything I want it to do... Can't complain.

The one who builds a better mouse trap will corner the market. These fools trying to combine
test that only need to be checked weekly or montly will be left in the dust. Alk is the only test
that needs to be checked daily in my system. While I do check everything weekly some really
    only need monthly

Iím fixing to start reefing like Ali! This dude keeps it so simple.

That one 30x30 cube with softies has 4 plugs for the entire system and looks incredible. Heís got a plugs for Return, Light, powerhead, Skimmer. No heater, no doser, just WCís.

Of course I canít go without a doser, but just saying this dude has amazing tanks with very minimal equipment!

You can easily keep it simple. I guess I like going overboard and experimenting. Probably one of the main thing that keeps me in the hobby haha.

That's like every 90s and 2000s tank there, except the lights are bluer. Must have Reef items 2018?

I feel like people get caught up in all the new technology and equipment, when those that are running large fish populations or tons of stoney corals are the ones that truly benefit from the technology. Most can just keep their tanks with just water changes and careful fish and coral stocking... And a whole lot of patients with the results.
