    Cabbage leather

I got this sea cabbage for a week.

When I put it in it was straight up and I glued its base rock there. But now the polyps are open but itís laying down like this. Any suggestions to position it or just let it correct itself?

I would guess something is up with your parameters. Do you have other corals in your tank? If so, what kinds and how are they doing? Post some pictures of them.
Also, the basics would be helpful for anyone trying to help.
    Nitrates?
    Phosphates?
    Alkalinity?
    Calcium?
    Magnesium?

Looks like you have some algae in there. You might have a nutrient issue. Posting the above parameters would be helpful.

My system is 150gal and itís just pass the half year mark. My water is at ultra low nutrient though. My refugium basically die out, all the chaeto die out but the red mangrove is still doing good.

And even bubble algae on my live rock disappear. Only algae in the tank is these hair algae around my pipe coarl and I been dosing Vibrant 15ml weekly.

This area is the only area I have algae currently.

    Parameters are listed below:
    0 no3
    0 po4
    KH 8
    PH8.2
    Ca 420ppm

I did recently sent up a Ca reactor and itís been running for 3 day only.

My other coral are doing good. This is my SPS, itís growing great all polyps are open.

Canít tell from the pictures but did you actually glue the leather or a base rock the leather was on? If you got glue on the leather it could be the problem

My first guess would be that your nutrients are actually too low. You might need to start feeding your fish more to get your nutrients up. My SPS grow like crazy and my NO3 runs about 25 ppm and PO4 about .10. The calcium reactor may help too by replacing something in the water that you aren't dosing or testing for.

I use the instance ocean epoxy stick which is the white stuff in the picture and glue the rock. I didnít get anything on the leather itself. I am struggling at feeding more cause the hair algae are still in the tank and donít know if I should starve them to death first. But I been feeding more coral food these day and see if this help it open up

You need a calcium reactor for that level of stock?

I just started to add SPS I was dosing for a while and it was too much work so I change to a Ca reactor since I am putting in more sps slowly. My Coralline algae is growing like crazy on back side of tank thatís what consume my Ca I think.

disagree about the calcium reactor. You are not running growing anything that would require a reactor at
this point. Think you just need to be patient in that the leather is healing from the move

So I should disconnect it for now? I did had a Ca drop till 200 ppm and I pull it back up by slowly dosing.
