Actually, next Wednesday was my idea. We have a house guest this weekend, and this allowed me to give my employer a little notice before I take a few vacation days.

It's at Urban Aquatics now, but next week it will be at my house. I got to see it yesterday. It looks good, except we had ordered it with a blue background and we got a black one. I could insist that they fix it, but who knows how long that would take and I'm tired of having multiple temporary tanks. The old 300 had a black background as well, so I'm used to it. David offered to take a good chunk off the price of the doser to help make up for the mistake, even though it was Planet's mistake not his.

Sounds good Frank! Keep us updated!

I saw a large Planet tank (300ish gallon DD) at Ocean Life in the back of the store. I wonder who that one belongs to.?

I stopped by Urban Aquatics yesterday and saw the tank. Looks nice! If it helps you I can take it off your hands

Any reason you went with center braces instead of euro bracing?

I never had anything but center braced tanks, so I don't know what I'd do without them. It's less expensive that way, and since the tank will have a canopy, the cleaner look doesn't really matter. Plus, it gives a good way to mount several screen tops rather than one giant one, and as someone who likes wrasses and firefish, a top is an absolute necessity.

Once you get that big, it’s dangerous not to have cross braces!
