Approximately 2 month update: Not everything survived, but most did. That setosa is gone, but the Turbinaria is doing fine. It still has some of that coating of whatever, but it is definitely a coating of something not the skeleton, and it shifts around. I need to see if I can wipe some off and look at it under the microscope - if only there were more time in a day. I lost 90% of a green bird's nest and some green Montipora that wound up too close to the big anemone. There is a chalice and some other LPS in the 150 that are not doing well, but I think they will hang in there. The hitchhiker Lobo is happy as can be - I guess the tub reminds him of the poor conditions he grew up in in the old 90 gallon. There is a large Pavona and Stylophora that were 95% dead early on, but the remaining live bits are stabilizing and starting to come back.

I lost a yellow-eye Kole tang, which surprised me. It was the most recent addition and had only been in the 300 for a few weeks, and I put him back in the 90 QT he had just come from, so I don't know what happened. The orchid dottyback looked like it had some sort of fungus for a while, but it has gotten better on its own.

Some friends are coming by today to pick up the old tank for one of their monitor lizards. I checked out the Marineland site to remind myself how heavy the tank is (446 pounds), and noticed the reviews are not good. There were some as recent as 7 months ago, and all the same story - the tank blew the seams after a short while. It looks like they have not fixed the problem, so thank you to all who steered me away from getting another one.

I decided to get a Planet tank through Urban Aquatics. I went with the 7'x30", which comes to around 294 gallons if you ignore the thickness of the glass. I have 300 pounds of Tropic Eden sand coming from Premium Aquatics this week, and hopefully the tank and stand will be here in the next few weeks.

I am in awe. Our friend brought two guys who basically moved the tank themselves. We helped a little lifting it into their truck, but two people did almost all of it.

Yeah, baby! I found out today that my tank and stand are at Urban Aquatics now, and David will be setting it up next Wednesday. Hopefully my corals can hold out just a little bit longer.

You can have some frags from me whenever your tank is ready including the setosa... free.

Yes, when you're ready, I'll cut some of Tin's frags too and give them to you for free as well... And maybe keep a couple for myself as well. Worst day ever
