Sorry to hear it but glad you had room for everyone.

I would check a couple of your LFS....I recently purchased my Planet tank from Oceanlife and was very surprised at how affordable it was. I am very pleased with mine. I know there are at least 4 shops in Houston who can order from Planet. And they get them relatively quickly so you can get it up and going. Good luck, and glad ya saved the day!!
Yeah, I loved the dimensions on those 300 gallon DDs but their service history scared me off from buying one.

Thanks for the tip on planet aquariums, I'll have to keep them in mind if I ever upgrade. Hopefully they can make Frank one really fast!

Is that a planet? How long have you had it? Is it covered under warranty? What a beautiful tank.

PA tanks are nice but their eurobracing sucks. I have very noticeable bubbles when I bought my new tank.

I shouldíve returned it but it was too much of a hassle.

This is right in front of my tank. If I was taller and looked from the top down Iíd be really ticked as thereís tons more.

Looking from top down at the eurobracing

I canít believe PA let the tank leave out of their facilities like this. Itís not a cheap tank and the quality control sucks!

We were first alerted to this by a water sensor tied to the house alarm, and we couldn't get it to shut up because the batteries on the keypads have expired. Finally the alarm company was able to turn it off at their end.

Then we spent the next 7 or 8 hours tearing down the tank, me doing most of the tank stuff and my wife manning the towels and shop vac. Thank goodness I still have my 90 gallon set up as a QT, along with a 20 and 10, and got out the 100 gallon tub I used when I moved and filled it with water from the 300. Between all those and the 150, I was able to get everyone out and distributed so no one tank will be over crowded, although I will be amazed if I don't lose some corals. The biggest challenge was catching the leopard wrasse - taking the sand out one handful at a time until I found her. It was like panning for gold, except panning for a wrasse.

I was just starting to think that the tank was getting settled in. A number of corals that had struggled during the move a year and a half ago were starting to do really well.

Now the big decision - do I try to fix this tank, do I buy another Marineland Deep Dimension tank, or do I go with a custom tank that will probably cost a gazillion dollars.
Sorry to hear frank. If you need help anything let me know.

I have had my 125 gallon 6 foot wide for 21 years now. I lay the lighting on top of the tank and that is what probably contributed to the center plastic support to snap a few years ago. I remember hearing the snap and was a few hours later when I discovered what happened. I did make a sort of support and so far has done the trick. I also like to hide the water line to make it look more natural....no cracks or leaks so far. Tangs in Alberta.Ca knock on wood

I'd like to bring up the Reefer Amendments that we all swear to before joining the hobby... #1 being to give the best care to the animals we have in our tanks... But the most forgotten amendment is #7... Which states go big or go home. Worst day everWorst day everWorst day ever
