Free coral from St Louis club (SLASH)

I met the president of the St. Louis Area Saltwater Hobbyists (SLASH) who is coming down for Reef Currents with a friend who is a vendor: Printed Reefing Solutions.

He proposed doing a coral swap with members of his club:

Club Box Swap - Reef Central Online Community

Review that RC thread, propose some corals, & see if you are interested in trading any corals. I'll probably just donate a couple of corals into the box.

Please communicate directly with the members whose corals you are interested in. Their president & I will then swap the corals. You can pick up at Reef Currents venue Friday if they arrive at a reasonable time or Sat during the show. You'll need a wristband to enter the venue or wait a bit to meet outside of it.

How is this organized? They just send a box to us, we send a box to them, and members sort it out once they arrive?

Yeah, curious as well. Do we set up a swap with one of their members & this is the free shipping or is just send a box get a box?

How do we decide who gets what out of the box? I have a few random frags I could send and I could frag my ORA Pearlberry if they were interested. Otherwise, I'll just watch it grow out.

Could trim some Bio Reef Green Goblin (from Jason Fox) too

On their reefcentral thread, somebody is driving down for Reef Currents so I'd imagine they'd bring the box from Houston back up to their local club as well, no shipping involved.

For them, it seemed like a raffle style system, you put more in value-wise, you get first choice of the frags that are in the box.

    Hi guys,
My name is Tim and I am the St. Louis guy bringing down the box of coral. I look forward to meeting you next week. I will be working the Printed Reefing Solutions booth with Matt at Reef Currents. I am not an owner or investor of PRS I am just the President of Matt's local reef club SLASH. (St. Louis Area Saltwater Hobbyists) I like to travel around to shows to help him out when his family can't travel with him.
What I am telling my members is:
They can send whatever they want. This is kind of a trial run for us. We are going to try to fairly divide up whatever is sent back. We are more or less using it as another excuse to get together and talk fish/ drink/ look at coral and hopefully get something new growing up here that we didn't have in the club before. I was thinking of this more of like a mystery box of coral traded between clubs. If it sucks we don't have to do it again. If its cool and fun maybe we do this every so often. Let me know what you think on your end as well. I am sending mostly SPS frags with a couple zoa plugs and 2 small frags of frogspawn my tang made this week.
We were not planning on doing any 1 for 1 trading but if that is what you want to do just write down some instructions for me or send them in whatever box you send back with me.
