    Attorney

Does hiring this attorney mean you are using club funds to defend yourselves against a suit claiming misuse of club funds? Also why hire a criminal defense attorney who specializes in arc crimes for this case? That just does not look right to me.

If no one answers and the post disappears without me deleting it then we all know what the answers are.

I have no skin in the game living in Austin.

I am a moderator on the Austin Reef Club and do this voluntarily to foster the community of reef enthusiast in town, very much like the BOD here on Marsh.

That being said, if I was being sued by a member of the Austin Reef Club, I would hope that the Reef Club paid for my attorney fees. In the same vein, if I owned the Austin Reef Club and volunteers for the club were being sued by other members, I could guarantee that I would pay for their attorney fees. I think in both scenarios, its the right thing to do.

I have my suspicions on what the real truth is but I'll let the judicial system get to the bottom of all this. I much prefer to chat about corals, tank builds, fish, and equipment.

The suit is Ben claiming that his first amendment right was violated, and he's suing MARSH itself. It makes perfect sense for MARSH to use MARSH funds to defend MARSH.

Unfortunately that is not the decision of the club. Do think this should be moved to members only as why
should our guest have to see this crap.

Don't you waive your first amendment rights when you enter someone else's house? Can't they kick you out when they get tired of listening to you?
