    Painting Inside with Reef Tanks

Has anyone ever used a spray painter while their tank was up and running? I'm about to do the entire inside of the house and am really dreading a roller for the whole thing. I was wondering if a tight fitted tarp would help. Any suggestions welcomed.

Sounds like fun! I think ventilation and air circulation will be key! While your painting around your tank, I've also heard some suggest turning off your circ pumps. A tarp will be very helpful as well. I would use the roller around your aquarium to reduce the risk of any overspray or fine airborne particulates finding their way into your aquarium.

That's why I use a roller. But turn off circulation pump and tape plastic to the floor 100% would be my suggestion, along with ventilation to clear the air.
Maybe put a fan at the door blowing air out.

Yeah I think with a tarp tightly fastened, skimmer off, return pump off, and ventilation, I will be fine. What worries me is the damn cold air that's gonna be ventilating my house haha

David, I'm not doing this whole house with a roller. You've seen my house, and you know that I'm filthy, ridiculously rich so my house covers three acres.

Totally agree a rich guy like you shouldn't even be asking. Call a rich painter so he can laugh all the way to the bank.
Been painting houses since I was 10 yrs old. I like the old fashion way.

You know, David, even though I have enough money to make Bill Gates blush, I still like the feeling of getting a job done myself. It makes me feel like I'm just a regular human, which is a nice change of pace.

Run an airline outside and pump air in to an air stone. Turn off all pumps and seal with a tarp. I’ll be home tomorrow night so you can have your tarp back.

I have the tarp covered but I need someone to stand outside and blow into the hose for the air stone. You down?

You should be good with covering with tarp. Turn off the protein skimmer. Donít forget to in cover when you are done. Put a box fan at the door pulling the air out and window open to pull fresh air in. This is more for you than the FishPainting Inside with Reef Tanks. Unless to want to inhale paint fumes
