    Calcium Reactors.

Ok so I want to run my calcium reactor again and need some help. I keep have issues with the drip rate changing due to pluggage in the valve. What are my options.

What brand? I've run 4 different ones, two which had the same problem as yours. The only way to fix that in my experience is to buy another brand that works or use a peristaltic pump, which is not cheap.

Trust me, I tried everything to try to make them work. It was in the inherent design that in my experimenting led me to the conclusion that pressure buildup over time via CO2 gas and improper venting caused the unavoidable effluent slowdown.

That's interesting. They are one of the brands that doesnt have that issue usually. Ive heard some had success fixing the problem by running a prefilter to remove detritus. Perhaps try that?

I have a peristaltic pump with my Calcium reactor. Whit this pump you forget about the drips coming from calcium reactor. If you want to buy one I could tell you which model I'm using.

For my large build that I'm planning, I will eventually need a carx. I sold my Cole Parmer, but I'm probably going to try the adjustable stenner pump. There are two options of .2-3gpd and 2.5-50gpd. Haven't decided which one to use, but they're only $290, which is a decent price. I wonder about the noise level too, but it will be in my fish room and not the living room.

I use the same reactor you do. I decided to go with a masterflex peristaltic pump to run mine. No line clogging. Keeps the ph 100% stable throughout the day. Zero wavering at all

You mind posting the brands you found that worked, and those that didnt't? or is it already documented somewhere you can just point me to?
