    Harvey 120 to 140 rebuild

HH has given me a chance to get a new tank. I was becoming concerned about the seams of my third hand tank, it wasn't drilled, and the sides we're scratched pretty bad. I was able to order a Planet Aquarium through The Fish Bowl and More during their One Year Relocation sale (thanks Carlos!). I have ordered and received most of the plumbing parts. We had to tear up the old laminate flooring, and I'm waiting on my husband to grout the tile (he works 60hrs a week and wants to do the tile and grouting himself) so that I can put the stand back where it belongs and receive the tank that Carlos is holding for me. Meanwhile my fish, etc have been downsized to a 75g that Kevin at All About Fish lent me (thanks Kevin!). The old tank is 72"x18"x19". If anyone wants it, it will be on the curb soon.

    New Tank:
    72"x18"x25"
    16" ghost overflow
    Dual returns
    Red drain
    Violet return

    Keeping:
    Gorgeous stand
    4 bulb 72" AquaticLife T5HO
    Vectra M1 pump
    Bubble Magus skimmer
    Jebao doser
    AutoAqua Smart ATO
    2 MP 40's

    Adding:
    Hagen Fluval Aquasky LED****60"
Mp10. Though I don't know yet if my glass is too thick, might have to exchange it for another Mp 40

I think that's it right now. I'll include some pics starting with the old tank and my beautiful stand. Feel free to comment or ask questions. Please let me know if I'm doing anything wrong!

Awesome to see your items coming together! I hate the damage Harvey brought, but I am glad to see people recovering and rebuilding step by step!

Just realized my tank glass is 1/2", and the MP10 is recommended up to 0.375". Anyone use one on 0.5"?

Thank you, I'm really very lucky, it could have been much worse!

My glass looks to be about 7/16, which comes to about .4375, and it mostly works. The magnet on the one I'm using now has lost some strength and I have to hold the dry side on with tape, so .5" would definitely be pushing it.

Thanks! Yeah, I think I'll return the mp10 and maybe try a tunze. I don't need this pump to do anything real fancy, but I think I'll need it to be directional. I'd like to put it low in the center back, and have it directed up to the front, which will push water into the overflow. I liked the idea of the vortech so that I wouldn't have to run a wire around the overflow box.

I picked up the overflow box that came with the tank from The Fish Bowl today when I went to check the glass thickness and double check my return bulkheads. I didn't know PA make their own ghosts. I kinda expected a Reef Savvy overflow because thats what I mentioned when I ordered the tank, but as long as it works well, I don't care who made it!
I think it looks good. It's smoked on the sides of the external box, and translucent under. The top of the internal box lifts off nicely for cleaning. The external box has 2 cool lids.
Now I just have to figure out how to set up a bean animal in it. I ordered the internal and external PVC pieces from Reef Savvy, just placing them in the box shows I don't have room. I might have to cut off half an inch of the threads from the bulkheads. How bad an idea is that?

Carlos helped me realize the tanks 1/2" thickness should help with bulkhead space in the drain box.
