Coming back from the dead (me and the tanks)

    Hey all,

I'm not sure how many will remember me here, but my name is Brian Plankis and I used to be an active member of MARSH. I'm wondering how many of the MARSH leadership are still around? Is Brad still the treasurer?

I moved away from Houston in 2011 and I'm still living in Indiana. I still consider MARSH my home club and thought I would pop on and say hello.

I took a job as a university professor in August, 2011 and lets just say that was the busiest 6 years of my life, BY FAR. I had zero time for reefing and very little time for my family, so I resigned from that professor position to maintain my sanity and am in a new career that is going well.

Now that I actually have some free time again I am going to start a tank and fish room up in my basement. The main display tank will be 120 gallons and for those of you that still remember me I'll have tons of support/research tanks as well now that I have a dedicated fish room. I'll start up a thread later as I begin the build.

Can one of your BOD contact me by PM? I have a couple of questions, ideally someone who remembers me

    Brian

Also, just a shot in the dark. When I was in MARSH one of my big obsessive things was invertebrates that breed in our systems. I'm curious if anyone still has some of the green striped turbo snails that breed easily in our tanks? I would love to get a hold of some of those again.

Good to hear from you Brian! I'm not on the board, but I do remember you and DIBS. AND I still have some DIBS turbo snails in my system.

PM me and we can figure out a way to get some to you once your system is ready.

Welcome Back Brian! Although I was not around back in 2011, I am on the BoD currently. Looking forward to following along on your build thread!

Corey I (Reefling) and Steve B (steveb) were both around in 2011 and are also current BoD members, you may remember them.

I do remember RR-man, reefling, steveb, and lesd, so good to see you all still active in the hobby! I am VERY excited to be starting up my research system, had a custom fish room built with a lab grade bench for microscope work. It is going to be EPIC!
