    stand builder - frame only

I want to get a wood stand build which is going to be 8 ft by 4 ft. It will be constructed from 2X8s and frame only. I have some ideas for the skin but I can do that later myself. If you prefer building it onsite that's fine too I have all the carpentry tools in my garage but have no time to build it myself.

If you can tackle the project shoot me a PM and we can discuss more.

I would consider taking this on if you had a plan. Some kind of rough sketch. I would definitely go metal on the stand if it were me. I am no engineer tho.

Oh trust me I got a sketch.

Definitely want to do wood...water penetration is not an issue plus will coat the wood with something. All water changes will be done automatically so no hoses and buckets.

My Elos stand was MDF and no damage after 5 yrs.

2x8s? You making a tank to hold shamu? With a boat floating on top it it, holding a volvo? That's going to be quite heavy, even just the frame! I personally use 1x4s on projects up to 6x2 or so

Its an easy project but a logistics nightmare for someone out of their garage without a formal shop. Going to be tough to move that thing around to work on it!
