    Vibrant Liquid Aquarium Cleaner

Someone mentioned during the tank tour at my house that they used the Vibrant Aquarium Cleaner and they were able to get rid of their Bubble Algae? Does anyone have any more info on this product?

Wingnut has also used the Vibrant. He may also have some local perspective to offer you.

Hmmmm....I honestly am not sure. I got it online through the original thread on r2r. At the time there was a discount offered. However I don't know if the discount is still being offered or not.

Im happy to post the question to the thread and see if they are in the local market anywhere.

I used it in my wife's little 6 gallon nano , that turned real bad after about 4 months , GHA everywhere the back glass could not even see , and diatoms on substrate, and I did do maintenance on thus little tank about 20 to 25 % water changes weekly. Now temp is kinda hard to keep real stable. I ordered an 8 oz. bottle you are suppose to 1 ml per 10 gallons , I added .5 ml the first week and then did my weekly WC and added another .5 ml , now I did also add some more snails , but after week two all algae is gone , there two little spots of GHA , but substrate is clean, now I only add .5 ml every two weeks. So far so good, it has worked for this little tank. No skimmer but must do regular water changes.

IMO though it is carbon and you can get same results using a lot cheaper DIY carbons and cultured bacteria like the Biodigest , just need to run a skimmer , the vibrant is kinda pricey the 8 oz. bottle was like 23.99 , I can make gallons of VSV for 15 bucks. Just my opinion , I only used on this nano because no skimmer and 2 gallons of water a week WC.

It's not a carbon source. It a bacteria culture more like BioDigest or such. However Vibrant isn't using nitrifying bacteria I don't think.

Vibrant Liquid Aquarium Cleaner Ingredients -

    95% Cultured Bacteria Blend
    1% Amino Acids (Aspartic Acid)
0.5% Vinegar - This is used as the preservative
    3.5% Other Ingredients (RO/DI Water)
