    Reefahholic's Rimless 105/g Planet build #Herewegoagain

    Well, I'm not exactly sure where to begin. It's kinda like Mark said..."Just give it some time and the reef bug will bite you again." So yeah, I guess I've been bit, because I'm building another one! I'm going with something simple and smaller this time. Something that's super manageable that will run itself via autopilot. Yes...Full Apex program (of course), auto water changes, large top off reservoir, large skimmer waste reservoir, large fuge, etc. I'm gonna skip the DSB in the DT and have one in my fuge. Probably gonna do a good size remote fuge again. So all the equipment is coming from previous systems and will be overkill. This should be fun. Keep in mind...this will be a 75/G system.

    Equipment:
    Tank = Rimless 75/G Planet
    Mag 18 return pump
    40 Breeder DIY Sump
    Aquamaxx ConeS Q-3 (Rated up to 420/G's)
    Jebao RW 15's
    JB Wave controlling pumps and power #Toomuchpower
    Growbright 48" 6X54W T5 Fixture (Will be updated later to ATI Powermodule)
    Bulbs = Mix of ATI and KZ
    Carbon and GFO Reactors running on Manifold (Keeping GFO on standby)
    Valves will be ++GF++
    Plumbing (Possibly colored pipe) #Stillthinking
    20" Synergy Reef Overflow
    Pipe size = 1.5"
    Return size = 3/4" with Loc-Line & flare nozzles
    Unions throughout
    Remote fuge (Not sure about size yet)

    I just broke down my last little system and sold it. Needless to say....I'm ready for another display.

    I love Euro hinges! I just suck at them!!

    So you mark 7/8" from doors edge and 3.5" from both top and bottom. Where the lines intersect is where you drill the cup holes on the doors. The "point" of your 35-millimeter Forstner bit starts on the intersect and marks the middle of the cup holes.

    Brett @ Drummereef over at RC has inspired me to do a clean wire management job this time and build a small apex board. I'll post pics of mine soon, but for now... feast your eyes upon this wire porn!!!!

    Pics from Brett @ Drummereef!

    So I'm sure some of you are thinking...Why does he keep going back to T5's? For me it's very simple. Here's my 4 basic reasons. Although I'm starting out with a cheaper fixture, don't be surprised when you see a Powermodule over the tank. Or the latest and greatest T5 fixture.

    1. Maximum surface exposure
    2. Even light distribution
    3. Spectrum
    4. Upwelling light

    Jared,

    great work done here !!! Really have to commit that.
    Shoot, would love to have my stuff arranged like that, but I still play too much around with equipment and installation to have it all permanently in place.

    Keep pictures coming.
