My aquaSD milli was redder when I got it. The facility that I got it from have ran a lot of trials with that one and said it will turn redder the more you blast it with par. The guy said they've even tried hitting it with 900+ and it turns super red. Mine is getting around 400-500 par but it still insists on staying greener. Hhmmmm.

Yeah, its still getting to its full color potential but not there yet after I glued it sideways on the rock. You'll first see the greens, then oranges, and then reddish orange. Mine was a gorgeous reddish orange in the old tank and I'm hoping this one does the same. Main thing is I changed my lighting to be more T5 focused with LED supplements where in the old tank, it was the opposite. I'm hoping this still gives me the same colors though but I feel like my two actinic SBREEF bars will cause it to go a hair more orange as I've noticed these bars really make oranges flouresce in acros.

The guy that I got mine from has theirs exclusively under leds. However, they have those kiss concert style cannons and can hit over 1500 par if they want. He said the coral tends to be greener under t5s, is what he had heard from his customers.

I guess I'll just find out. Its getting 250-275 par but has a decent amount of orange and some red at the base. Its cooking under 8 T5 bulbs and two actinic bars.

Wish the little man a happy birthday!

The only time my son comes to the fishroom when he needs me/something. That boy does not care about fish. I even named a fish after him.

I was cleaning the tank and snapped some top-downs of the right side of the tank while I was at it.

Top down shots of the right side of the tank. I haven't filled this side out as much yet. I have some of my colonies and frags still waiting in the frag tank ready to be glued but just need some free time and inspiration to get it done. The inspiration is the big part as I don't just want to plop down frags but really think about their placement.

Hey Ty how about an update...I met up with you last summer to pick up some frags and you mentioned the possibility of doing some work with a local university regarding corals...did that ever materialize?
