Thanks guys! Its pretty devastating to lose fish you've had for awhile. That emperor I've had since he was a juvi and I saw him go through the whole change to adulthood.

I'm just focusing now on saving the 6 fish I have left, which is going pretty good so far, and finishing out the frag tank addition and walkboard, as well as organizing all my electronics to a board. It'll keep my mind off of things.

On a plus side, corals are rocking and I haven't had to think about them at all during this whole ordeal. I'll just spend some time aquascaping and shaping the tank into a nice home for my existing fish and my future additions. Thank you for all the support.

Sorry for ur loss. Velvet can be extremely nasty especially during a transition because the fish will be less tolerant.

Big week. After losing so many fish to velvet, my wonderful wife watched the little guy as much as she could to give me time to get the tank in order.

I plumbed the frag tank finally into the display.

I hung mounts for the lighting, which I'll be using my old LED/T5 light combo that used to be on the main tank for the frag tank. After running it yesterday with just the Ocean Revive LEDs, I think I'll ditch the T5s for simplicity.

Randomly, my ATI fixture wouldn't fire up two bulbs. Whenever I tried to mess with the bulbs, smoke would start coming out of the fixture. I took it down and fortunately for me, my DIY retrofit T5 setup on the old light setup has ATI ballasts on it so it was a straight swap to get me back up and running.

Damn good job. Too bad you're so far or I'd pick up some frags.

You can come visit the capital, eat some bbq, watch a Longhorn game, and go home with some delicious SPS frags. ATXacrofarmer 215-gallon SPS tank

    ATX,
    looks nice!

How are you feeding your frag tank with fresh water?
From the main tank return or a utility pump out of the last stage in the sump?

Thanks Andre! Its being fed out of the last stage of the sump by my return pump manifold so it shares the display tank water and also its stability.

This frag tank will only be a holding tank for frags cut straight from the display. I plan to still QT all new coral frags for at least 4 weeks in a separate tank to minimize any potential for pests getting into my display water. Once cleared, then they can go into the frag tank is my current thought process.
