Switching to Fritz from Reef Crystals

So the main reason for the switch is to get alkalinity levels closer to what the tank is running at. I had heard Fritz mixes at around 8 and I run 7.8. First batch 9.6. Took the salt and thoroughly mixed it then made another batch. 9.6 dkh. What is everyone else's experience with this salt? I mean it is still better than 10.9 - 11.2 with RC.

I get between 7 - 7.8 depending on how warm the water is and how long I let it mix..

This is Pro we are talking about right. I am in Port Arthur with no local fish stores other than Petco so anything I do requires travel to Lake Charles or Houston. Tested with brand new Salifert Alk Test. I do like the fact that the ph is a lot higher than RC even after adding acid to lower the Alk. Online usually the heavy shipping charges eat me up on items like salt negating the savings or costing more than just driving to Houston to get it. The only downside is then I buy livestock that I don't have room for. Vicious circle!

Amazon Prime! Well worth it if you can't get to one of our sponsors.

I was thinking of switching as well. I'll be mixing a new batch of 40g today and will measure the alk. I may be running rc for a while since they're sending me a free box.
