So my first RBTA split a few months ago. Now the "daughter" BTA has split into three couple days ago!
How long should I wait before separating them (I dont think I will keep all four!) and can the bigger "mother" split again or are the "babies" more likely to split? I guess it may vary but just to have your thoughts/experience

this is from my recent experience.
RBTA split due to stress and bad conditions. My tank got super hot and the splitting took off from three to 10 Because they got so hot they have turned pink now and read takes about 6 months to get back to red. I now have a chiller and switched to LED to control the heat.

Mine all are healthy and I feed them regularly and until I reddi the rock work they were all clumped like they were before they split. Now I moved the rock and they have separated. I am not sure if it was the mother splitting into three. I would have a big one and then come back and it split and then few days would see another one.

With my house flooding I havent spent much time watching the tank in last 2 weeks and when I counted last my original 3 turned in to 10

Mine split but not due to stress. I switched salt mix and boom mine split and that was the first time it split. Had it for three years before it split. After that no more splitting and that was two years ago. Plus before it split it was the size of a dinner plate.

I have 6 now, about to be 7. The mother and one daughter are the only two that split. They are also the biggest ones. Iv gotten rid of two so far and will got rid of all but the mother and two smallest babies, if I can ever catch them. I can always tell when they are about to split. They get real big then the next day or so they are split. I can count on it happening once every two months or so. No poor conditions or anything I think they just know I don't have room for a giant nem lol so they frag themselves

Sherman rose. I have two not spoken for for $30 a piece if I could get them off the rocks. They are pretty happy where they are, the last two times I caught one was when it was moving.

I jumped the gun a little.
Go ahead and hold off. We are going to wait a little while.

RBTAs dying??

Hi All, So after the disaster that occurred last week in the tank for a reason I yet have to find (posted in "new to the hobby"), my anemones are suffering (in addition to my corals).
They first closed up then fell off the rock. Attached again an reopened a but after the three WC I made last week. (all water parameters were good)
Tow of the four had to already go. Not sure about the other two (I feel they are also gonna have to go) so I need your guidance on whether they still have a chance. Pictures below... Thanks in advance

Look like they still have a chance to me. I've seen worse recover. But something is definitely not right. If they start melting then you have to worry. I would continue the water changes.
