So lately my Astrea have been falling A LOT! It used to be that I only had to right one maybe every two to three months. Well these days it's more like every day. Anybody know what could make them lose their grip that often?

This is why I get the Banded Trochus Snail instead of Astrea because the Trochus snail can right itself when knocked over. The Trochus also breed easily in home aquarium.

Does your lights ramp down or just cut off?
I've notice them falling due to shock from the lights. Sometimes when my whites are off and I put them on to show off the tank to a visitor they fall down like a drunk.

I have read that high magnesium can affect snails and the way it shows is them falling a lot.
My Mg is in the 1500 and the snails are not falling off the glass.
