So I found this guy on a Monti I bought a couple months ago. I just saw him for the first time in a couple weeks. He had almost doubled in size since then. Is he a good snail or do I need to take him out? http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160819/bdc524c8c2b09925a39c5bd0a0f7b917.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160819/519b493d86d7a116617a4dd3f2b4599f.jpg

Hi, Tiffany.
I don't recognize that snail, but, you know it's always better to be a little cautious. If you haven't already, it might be a good idea to try and remove it.

good luck,
Steve

its hard to tell the coloration of the shell...

maybe this
Canarium urceus (Linnaeus, 1758) - Checklist View (http://www.gbif.org/species/6489869#images)

or maybe

Oyster drill (Urosalpinx cinerea) (https://www.britannica.com/animal/murex-mollusk-family/images-videos/Oyster-drill/6670)

or maybe Strombus pipus (http://www.jaxshells.org/0718tt.htm)

The oyster drill looks close. Either way he is trapped and going to a new home where he will be used for a bigger, badder creature's lunch.
