not sure what it is. looks like a snail but doesn't act like one.

Does it have a hard shell over part of its back? Its most likely a type of nudibranch.

no shell at all. it will stay scrunched up for a bit then when it moves it extends its body and slides. it also doesnt have any protruding body parts.

Well, either a nudibranch or type of large flatworm. I'd lean more toward nudibranch though I'd need a close-up pic to know for sure. If you're really really really bored you can look for it here:

Well it went into a hole in my rock so I'll watch for it and try and get a great pic of it.
